The Story

Hey, I'm Jody Hirschi, the founder of Little John.

I'm a Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for helping the everyday person first choose to invest, and then to succeed at it. I studied Finance at BYU, and was trained in Machine Learning at Capital One, Mastercard, and grad school at Georgia Tech. I've spent many years helping startups (both my own, and others) scale their use of data and ML systems.

Most importantly, I'm a husband to an incredibly supportive wife and father of 3.

Little John is the result of a yearslong passion project to build tools that I myself wanted as I figured out how to sell options to produce steady income. I'd dream of building a simulator to help me map my trades, and of building Reinforcement Learning agents that could essentially help me "beat the game" by finding the optimal positions and decisions to help me maximize my risk reward.

Last year we decided to jump full-time into build this, and I'm incredibly excited to start rolling it out to you here.

Investing brings risk, but when you know how to manage it, it also presents great opportunity.
